Body & Mind ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Iโ€™m trying to take care of my body and mind. I try to eat healthy. I work out 5-6 times per week and I meditate daily. This section offers a transparent view on several quantitative aspects relating to my productivity, my fitness and my sleeping habits.

Productivity ๐Ÿš€

All my activities on my macbook are recorded, tracked and evaluated with RescueTime. RescueTime outputs a productivity pulse that signalises how time was spent on the computer. Unfortunately as of now RescueTime does not offer a good solution for iPhone usage tracking.

Meditation ๐Ÿง˜

Iโ€™m a big advocate for meditation. I attended my first 10 day silence meditation retreat in 2011 and regularly visited retreats since then. I meditate at least 10 minutes daily, though I try to squeeze in 1-2 hours on the weekends. I practice Vipassana meditation in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin. I do not track my meditation very strictly. The data displayed here is an approximation and should not be taken at face value. Over the past years I've meditated:

28 days, 5 hours, 32 minutes

Body ๐Ÿƒ

I work out 5-6 times per week. Iterating between high-intensity strength workout and high interval running. My body measurements are tracked on a monthly basis.

Measurement 8/18/2020
Body fat 12.6%
Lean Mass 64 kg
Bodyweight 73 kg
Height 178 cm
Resting pulse 44 bpm

Sleep ๐Ÿ˜ด

I regard sleep as a very important part of a healthy lifestyle. Numerous studies suggest that insufficient sleep (less than 8h per night) leads to decline in memory, physical performance, concentration, and much more. My sleeping habits are tracked with Oura.
